About the Coffee

This exceptional Gesha comes from Finca La Colorada, a high-altitude farm in Íquira, Huila, run by producer Eduardo Anacona.

Growing at elevations reaching 2,150 metres, the Gesha variety develops slowly in the cooler mountain climate, creating an elegant and highly aromatic cup. Expect vibrant pink lemonade acidity, ripe cherry sweetness and delicate floral notes — bright, refined and beautifully expressive.

The Producer

Coffee has been part of Eduardo Anacona’s life since childhood, when he began working alongside his father at around 12 years old.

Over the past decade, Eduardo has invested in improving the infrastructure and processing protocols at Finca La Colorada, focusing on greater consistency and quality. Today, the 9-hectare farm is planted with several distinctive varieties, including Castillo, Papayo, Pink Bourbon and Gesha.

His careful approach in both the field and during processing has helped establish La Colorada as a source of exceptional, variety-driven coffees.

Processing

The cherries are carefully hand-picked at optimal ripeness before being depulped and transferred to cement tanks for a 40-hour dry fermentation.

During fermentation, the coffee's natural microbiome breaks down the remaining fruit mucilage, enhancing its sweetness, fruit character and aromatics without introducing heavy fermented flavours.

The coffee is then fully washed and slowly dried for approximately three weeks under parabolic shade coverings, helping preserve the clarity and delicate character of the Gesha variety.
