About the Coffee
This coffee comes from the La Vuelta plot at Finca Santa Maria de Lourdes, one of Nicaragua’s most respected specialty coffee farms, owned by the Peralta family in Nueva Segovia. Surrounded by protected mountain forest and grown at high elevation, the farm has become known for producing expressive microlots with exceptional clarity and sweetness.
The Peralta family has cultivated coffee in Nicaragua for generations, combining deep agricultural knowledge with a modern approach to specialty processing. At Santa Maria de Lourdes, careful natural processing and slow drying on raised beds allow the coffee’s fruit character to fully develop while maintaining balance and structure in the cup.
La Vuelta is one of the farm’s carefully managed plots planted with Red Catuaí. The combination of rich soil, cooler mountain temperatures and meticulous drying creates a coffee that is vibrant, creamy and deeply comforting.
In the Cup
Juicy blackberry and sweet toffee apple lead the cup, followed by soft banana sweetness and a smooth custard-like finish. Rich fruit and creamy texture come together in a profile that feels both playful and refined.
Comfort in complexity
Sweet, rounded and full of character. Layers of cooked fruit, caramel sweetness and creamy depth slowly reveal themselves as the cup cools.
